Technology from SCOPOS is attracting attention

SCOPOS AS develops and sells products for decision making support and panoramic HD movies. The company is currently developing a portfolio of products aimed towards the oil- and gas industry through a research project partly funded by Innovation Norway and among other the diving and subsea operations company Technip.

VOCA AS is contributing as a partner in software- and technology development for SCOPOS, and the team of VOCA has actively participated in the development of SCOPOS Investigator. Investigator is a custom build camera and measurement device to be used for exploration of modules and installations at the sea floor. In addition to a high definition camera, the Investigator has a 3D camera that scans the scenery and provides x, y and z coordinates in real-time. This makes it possible to measure distances, dimensions and angles within structures on the sea floor. More information is available (in Norwegian) at http://www.scopos.no.
